We are here for you 🙏

We are here for you.

How are you all? We thought we would check how you are all doing at this time of full quarantine. We don’t know how long it will be until we can be in a room together and we miss you so much.

We have been considering what is possible for us to do as we move into the summer term.  We are open to the opportunity to feel connected to our community (perhaps extending way beyond Glasgow), through digital means, in these difficult times. Instead of racking our brains in confinement, though, it is perhaps easier to ask you. Would you be up for meeting on zoom and doing Mysore together, practicing safely in separate spaces but shared time? Would you like weekly led yoga classes? Is there anything else you might need from us?

Please let us know by emailing rbmovesteam@gmail.com, as we collect ourselves and think of what we can offer you.

In the meantime, we have collected a few resources for you, to keep you yoga-occupied. There is a bit of everything here: zoom classes, 1-1 sessions, book recommendations, podcasts, a film … We hope you enjoy this and it keeps you inspired and healthy until we see you, which we will hope will be soon.

Love,

The RBM team xxx

We had a wonderful yoga weekend with Kia celebrating Rosina’s life on 13-15 March, which was also a beautiful opportunity to be together and gather strength for what was to come (more on that weekend below, with some goodies for you if your weren’t there).

Sadly, we had to cancel the wonderful and bigger event we had organised in memory of Rosina on the 5 April, what would have been the evening before her birthday. But fear not, Rosina will be celebrated and remembered with the party she deserves. We are postponing the in-person event until 2021 and creating a memorial online which you will be able to visit and contribute to. Keep an eye out for details on the RBM website.

People always asks us about yoga books. Since there are still deliveries, it is a good idea to take this time delve deeper into yoga. After all, practice without theory can become a little reckless! A book that is simple, accessible and full of good advice is Donna Farhi’s ‘Bringing Yoga to Life: The Everyday Practice of Enlightened Living’.

If you have any recommendations you would like to share with us, let us know and we will collect them in our special RBM practitioners reading list!

One of our dreams has just come true: Kia has a podcast channel, with Yotam AgamWith Kia, we celebrated Rosina’s life on 13-15 March, before our studio closed. Episode #2 of her podcast, dedicated to discussing nowness, was recorded during that weekend in Glasgow.

Kia is dedicated to continue to support practice through this delicate time, creating an inner Shala where we can always meet.  She will personally post resources, talks, meditations, practice soundscapes and inspiration. This is her gift to all of us as we remain closer together. If you want to receive her inspiration directly, sign up to her newsletter here.
