We are back (online)!💗

We are going to reopen in September …

This is the email we wanted to write for a long time …

We’ll be teaching classes from Monday 14 September! These will be onlinefor a couple of months. The Arlington Baths reopens on 31 August but they are concentrating on members only for the first few weeks. We will let you know when we are able to open the physical studio again but, for the time being, we have prepared a wonderful programme for you. It is already live on the website.

Highlights are: a full programme of morning classes, both led and Mysore, the old favourite of Yoga Building Blocks and a new Therapeutic Yoga programme with Maureen. It is an absolute honour to host Maureen delivering this very important work. The classes will run in 6-week blocks and it is a specially suitable class for those of you who loved attending Breathing Bones.

We have other changes too: a new online booking system (more on this below) – which we will need later on to keep an eye on numbers, and track and trace processes – and an offer price of £5 per class and £9 per workshop. This is the lowest price around! We will not be offering class passes at this stage as the programme is meant to be only temporarily online but all your previous passes, from March, will be carried over until you can use them.

And if you want to join us online from afar, fear not. When we open the studio, Laura will keep her classes online for those who cannot make it physically into the studio, at least until January. Now is the time to start, or to continue, your yoga journey with the beautoful community Rosina built. We have missed you so much.

Come and practice with us!

Love,

The RBM team xxx

NEW ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM
We have a new online booking system called Momoyoga. It is very simple to use as it is specifically designed for small studios like ours. You will be able to register, book you classes and pay online with credit/debit cards and PayPal. You will also be able to cancel classes 12 hours before they start and receive credit. The system will send you zoom links and reminders.

We hope you enjoy using and that it makes things easier for you. Please book all classes through it if you can, as it will help us very much once the Arlington is open, as we are likely to have a cap on numbers.

Like with anything new, there are bound to be teething problems, even though we have tried to test it as best we can. If you spot any issues, let us know.

If you are unsure about it, or have problems with the system, please get in touch and we’ll see how we can support you. We do not want anyone to feel left out of our classes because of computers. We are all about yoga, not IT!

Zoom Classes

If you have never used zoom for classes, we though we would give you some pointers. It is very easy and has worked well for our self-practice sessions, so we are confident you will be fine.
  • Download the ZOOM App if you can as it makes it more stable. This is important if you are using a smart phone or tablet.
  • You do not need an account to join class. Momoyoga should send you an email with a link to join class 30 minutes before the start time. You just need to click on that link.
  • Especially if it’s your first time with Zoom give yourself at least 20 minutes to get set up and into class.
  • If you know how to, have a recognisable name on zoom. Teachers will only admit students they recognise, for security purposes.
  • With some classes, there might be a waiting room to make sure the class is safe and only those meant to turn up are admitted. The teacher will let you in!
  • Have your mat out and any props may want to use (towels, belts, blocks, books, cushion, anything goes!) close by before the class starts.
  • You will be muted at the start of class. This is to minimise noises, so you can hear the instructions well. You can unmute yourself at any time if you need to speak and you can also use the chat function. If you don’t know how to do these things we will show you, don’t worry!
  • If you can, set up so that you are in your camera frame (and side ways for best results). That way we can see you and you can receive tailored adjustments. If not, don’t worry. We just want to practice yoga with you!
A fair few of us practiced with Kia during lockdown. There were almost as many people from Scotland as from Stockholm, and we all loved it! Kia will offer a regular online week of morning classes during Autumn. The first one start week of 7 September. You can book online here. You will see many of us there!

Don’t think it is for advanced practitioners only. Kia is able to support everyone that has some knowledge of the primary series. If you want to practice with an outstanding teacher, don’t hesistate to book.
