March 2017 Update

Yet again a whirlwind of a month.

The slates are still with us! Ever hopeful my fingers are crossed I will receive a welcome surprise after Easter.

The Introduction to Intermediate Series was full of enthusiastic, knowledgeable and willing practitioners. Rose Ann McKean of Merchant City Yoga joined me and the room had a joyous atmosphere of exploration and sharing. The dialogue from the network of practitioners from across a number of different shalas brought a shared and generous spirit to the sessions.

As a result of the success the Tuesday evening counted primary series practice will now also encompass some of the intermediate series, so if you have been wanting to discover or deepen your intermediate practice please come along.

The Lerigoligan, Ardfern Retreat was magical.

The house and accommodation are amazing, beautiful furnishings and fittings, lovely showers and comfortable warm rooms. Big kitchen with state of the art everything, and delicious meals in the fridge created by local chef Dawn Stewart. This with the food and drink we added and a walk to the local hostelry on Saturday night made it a memorable visit.

And now to the Yoga! The Bothy space for the yoga was ideal, compact and cosy as we lit the wood burner (as well as had the heating on!). Being away gave an added intensity to the learning, being able to absorb without distractions and having time to let the experiences gained settle in. Occasionally our eyes would wander off attracted by the many colourful birds visible at the bird feeders and in the stunning natural surroundings. Thanks to Laura Gonzalez and Kate Henderson for the photos.

ASHTANGA YOGA and PRANAYAMA INTENSIVE with Kia Naddermier

25 – 28 May 2017

£250

Please see website for full details and times.

This will be Kia’s only workshop of 2017 due to the demand for her nourishing and supportive teaching worldwide/internationally.

She has pencilled us in for January 2018.

I was presented with an award from the Saltire Society, Outstanding Women of Scotland 2017.

I received a limited edition screen print by Jessica Crisp. The ceremony was a evening full of charm and inspiration at the Women’s Library in Bridgeton.

I am still astonished to be included such good company.
