Mysore practice is a super power. A gift to yourself where you can be in a group setting receiving individual tuition and guidance, and listening to your mind and body, practicing at a level and pace that suits you (and not the teacher or the class!)
But the idea of self practice can be a little daunting. In the beginning, it is an exercise of the mind and remembering, as well doing the postures. With practice, it is an empowering, progressive method to take care of yourself, your energy, mind and body.
By the end of this four-week course, plus two additional mysore style classes, you will:
- Have a sense of the fundamentals of the ashtanga yoga system and be able to practice a sequence on your own
- Get to know this style of practice and how it can adapt to you and your life’s circumstances
- Learn tips and tricks to remember the sequence
- Have your own healthy and safe practice and join a class
You will have a comprehensive handout and workbook to practice with in the studio and at home.
Everyone is welcome to join, including complete beginners. Knowledge and experience of yoga is not necessary. All we ask is you come with a commitment and willingness to learn and have fun. This will be the best thing to do for yourself at the start of the year!
