March / April 2015 update

It’s all gone by in a blur and a whirr of gorgeousness. Amazingly it is now May and the past months of activity are just being assimilated!

March was made over to preparing for Kia’s Intensive – opening and closing mantras called and learnt, and clarifying the primary sequence. This visit helped to harness my energy to examine with all the classes, some of the details that get glossed over in the repetition of the flow of the asanas.

Now I am following up the second series introduction started by Kia with a small palette of postures to sustain the learning and deepen the ongoing investigation of backbends, developing the strength and flexibility of the back and the spine as a source of energy.

There is a noticeable consolidation of commitment, focus and enthusiasm that has always been present and is now significant. Also thank you for spreading the word about the classes as there is a visible increase of new people to the programme as you express your passion.

Now some of us are preparing to go to Yoga Plus, Crete. Maybe I should be preparing my teachers Radha and Pierre for us!

The move of Breathing Bones to Wednesday 18.15 is working well.

The next Sunday Workshop is 10 June, 10.30 – 12.30.

March has offered opportunities to work with the National theatre of Scotland on Rites, Cora Bissett’s piece that will be touring and returns to Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh 26 – 30 May. It is a moving and beautifully balanced piece about FGM.
