Autumn 2010

I had a wonderful summer driving to Crete, through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and Greece! Then I spent 2 months in southern Crete, having time to progress and process my yoga, catch up with friends, bathe in sunshine and holiday on this magical island.

I have returned joyfully to Dance House to teach both breathing bones and the level 4 contemporary class. My thanks to Jon Keliehor for the sublime enhancement he brings with his attentive musical and percussive accompaniment.

The weekend starts on Thursday (and Fridays) when I teach at Reid Kerr College, Paisley on the dance and choreography courses. I delight in the challenge of working with and supporting young people who are facing an exciting future in dance.

I am also doing one morning a week at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama at the Opera school, while my friend and colleague is on maternity.

I am full of anticipation as I have been invited to Stockholm to deliver a weekend of Yoga and breathing bones and of course will see some of this fabulous city! Thank you Ilias and Rebecka for creating and organising the programme.

I am looking forward to being involved with both Big and Wee Inspiration, an annual festival of creative workshops and performances for children. The storyteller Jean Edmiston and I will be running workshops in nursery schools and a special school combining story and dance.

I am running up and down the country and into England to deliver workshops for the fantastic, engaging and wonderful participatory, multi-media performances for 6 months – 4 year olds and their friends and family that is We Dance Wee Groove. Grab a wee one and go!
