Wow what happened to the end of the year? Hope you all survived the snow, ice, and madness. Firstly a belated happy new year to all movers! I spent Christmas in London with friends and family and then flew over to Amsterdam to see the New Year in with my pals Dinke and Sebastian amid a ton of fireworks.
So a brief update:
I started the year directing and choreographing Tam O’Shanter for Hopscotch Theatre Company and it is now enjoying a month’s touring round primary and secondary schools, here there and everywhere. My thanks again to the brilliant two person cast of Ross Stenhouse and Fiona McRae, who made this a joyous, creative and enriching rehearsal period with their professionalism, commitment and inventiveness.
Rosina Bonsu Moves continues to go from strength to strength and the Sunday morning workshop is proving popular giving a concentrated time to work and also offering a more in depth focus. Thank you to all movers both regular and new for your support.
Next Sunday workshop:
Sunday 20 February 10.30 – 12.30
I had the pleasure of seeing a fantastic performance of Cunning Little Vixen at the Theatre Royal performed outstandingly be the students on the Opera course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD, who I am delighted to teach. I also teach Yoga for academic staff and have been invited to offer a Body Work class through the Student Union organised by Steve Phillips.
I continue at Dance House teaching both Breathing Bones and the Contemporary classes at the new location created by the RSAMD at Spiers Lock Studios. The accommodation offers beautiful, spacious, light, purpose built spaces. The contemporary class has live accompaniment from musician, percussionist Jon Keliehor and I continue to feel amazed and grateful to work in partnership with him.
