February 2012

The new yoga flyers have received many compliments so my thanks to the photographer Robin Mitchell and Brian Hartley for the beautiful images, design and the website.

Please have a look at the gallery page for a selection of Robin’s photos, taken in December.

Classes are going well so more thanks to movers who have returned and those who have introduced new people. Both Sunday workshops have been fully attended.

The next workshop is Sunday 4 March – please let me know if you would like a place.

I am enjoying the Mysore classes at the Movement Studio. A few of you have found your way there and I will now be there till March so get your alarm clock set and come along Tuesday or Friday.

Tam O’Shanter that I directed for Hopscotch has started touring and is being well received by schools and venues.

“the performance was very impressive and everybody who came along was enthralled!!”

When the Oil Ran Out starts rehearsing this week with a 6 week tour of schools around Scotland.

I had a magic day with John Binnie, writer and director and Tale Spinners in Rothesay, Isle of Bute. We collaborated on a movement and writing day with this inspiring group of wordsmiths. They have offered to type up the writing from the day and I hope to be able to put some of it on the website, so please keep an eye out for that.

The month has been the usual happy mixture of delightful students and pupils from nursery and primary schools. I am looking forward to an in-service day with teachers organised by the Cultural Co-ordinator for West Dunbarton.
