April Update

Well Botswana was not as glamourous as I had hoped. It was hot, sunny with occasionally heavy rain showers, but I saw little of Gaberone and spent my time in an office somewhere in an industrial site or the hotel in splendid isolation. However that did mean there were no distractions and I got the job of writing a whole lot of foundation level dance modules written. I rewarded myself with a new apple computer!

As a result of Botswana the regular classes were cancelled and additional Sundays were programmed. This worked very well and I am now intending to programme a monthly Sunday workshop as I enjoy the opportunity to work more deeply on the understanding of the postures, physical clarity and the benefits of the practice.

I stayed home and went flat hunting over the school holidays and am still looking. Fingers crossed I will not be homeless in July.

During Easter I was lucky enough to go to Amsterdam for a long weekend to visit friends and be a student with the amazing Kia Naddiermeir from Paris. It was wonderful and I continue to learn with an Intensive 10 day workshop with visiting teacher David Keil from the states who is known for his deep knowledge of Yoga and his passion for anatomy – yippee.

Because of the bad December weather I was able to make it along to the Dance House end of term party and sharing and what a night it was. A engaging mix of participants and style all sitting together well in the Grand Ole Oprey building.
