April 2013 update

The Eden Court Theatre project ‘Connection’ turned out to be a fabulous experience.  13 performers aged 6 – 58 created a beautiful performance in 12 hours over 3 days!!!  Galo Cerrón Carrasco the amazing guitarist who plays with Salsa Celtica and Kalkutun Ensemble was the composer and accompanist gifted to me to collaborate with.  As with all at the top of their game he was laid back and generous, truly enhancing the performance.

Fingers crossed I get to work with Louise Marshall and her team of dance artists again soon.  My thanks to all involved.

The Durga Devi Spring Intensive weekend went well  despite the disappointing numbers.  The course was uplifting though challenging.

Kia Naddermier is not to be missed.  The Pranayama course is Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning June 14 – 16.  The yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoon can be taken as a drop in.  Please, please do not miss this highlight of the Rosina Bonsu Moves programme.   I have just found out that there is a gig on in the bar at the Arlington on the Friday night and so will be looking for another venue for the course – do check the website.

I have just returned from Kia’s shala, Mysore Yoga Paris where we were (along with 36 others!) taking classes with our teachers Radha and Pierre.  It was amazing.

Here we are so lucky to be able to have high quality guest teachers in an intimate setting, so make the most of it!

I have been working with Adura Onashie on her one woman show HeLa.  Do see it at Edinburgh Festival if you have a chance.  She is a striking performer and the piece directed by iron Oxide’s Graham Eatough is powerful. Here is a review of the Show from the Herald.

Coming up the Govan and Craigton Integration Network project ‘Diving for Pearls’ to be performed in Refugee Week in June.

I caught up with an old friend at the launch of their new album.  I wish Bonar Hutchison who also teaches Yoga all the best with his music.

I am booked for my annual Yoga Plus Crete stay – only 5 weeks this year! Yoga, swimming, sunshine, sea, fantastic food, lots of reading, resting and laughing, BLISS.

I am running away at the end of June to spend 2 weeks with my lovely niece and nephew in Washington DC.  It has been a while since I went to visit and it will be great to catch up with them and their lives.

My kitchen is late but I have chosen the fridge!
